When is the Destin Seafood Festival?
The Destin Seafood Festival is held annually during the month of October. In 2022 it is October 7-9th. The Destin Seafood Festival is a kickoff event for the Destin Fishing Rodeo that lasts the entire month of October. The Seafood Festival is held on the Destin Harbor Boardwalk, where thousands visit every year to celebrate Destin’s fishing fleet, local restaurants, and all things seafood.
How Can I Buy Tickets to the Destin Seafood Festival?
The event is free to attend! Founded by the local-nonprofit Destin Charter Boat Association, the Seafood Festival is open to everyone, but a smaller event called Call To Chef requires paid admission. Call To Chef is a new festival within a festival on Saturday/Sunday where chefs/restaurants prepare a themed seafood dish for festival attendees. Tickets for that event are $60 per day or $100 for a two-day pass.
What Should I Eat at the Destin Seafood Festival?
Fresh and local seafood is really the only proper answer here! Whether you want to try something different, like fried alligator or something fun but familiar like local shrimp, there is something for everyone in the family. Be on the lookout as there are dozens of food vendors with unique takes on classic and modern food concepts that are worth checking out.

While it is primarily a food festival, it is also a showcase of the colorful community of Destin, Florida. Vendors span the spectrum of commercial, handmade, corporate, food, and non-profit sectors with all kinds of fun, informational, and exciting booths to explore! In 2019 the festival saw 110 vendors in addition to local restaurants on the Harbor Boardwalk. The event attracts musical artists from around the country at the live music stage with different artists each year!
